This is James, a model in his 50's who hasn't let age stop him from smoldering for the camera. Beauty doesn't fade for everyone, I guess.
The indoor shot was taken in James' home, and the close-in shot was taken outdoors in downtown Portland. For both photos I used natural light with a silver reflector for fill light.
I enjoy both images, Daniel although I prefer the first more! I am not a fan of a light source (or strong fill) coming from below but somehow it works for the first image.

(1) is super strong, and could easily be a movie poster.
(2) not really sold on the pose... but I like the perspective and setup.

Thank you Gheller.
I agree with you on the pose. In hindsight I wish I had paid a little better attention during the shoot and had him strech his neck and body just a little bit more. To me he looks hunched, and it creates an uneasiness in his body language that contradicts the power effect of a fitted suit. In the moment I was a little too excited about the lighting and the location and as a result I overlooked this important detail.

Good self critique. You had every right to be stoked on the venue and lighting... they are excellent!
