I just returned from a trip to the South West. One place I visited, that I haven't been to in many years, is Shiprock in New Mexico. I took this photo with my drone which gave me a different perspective of this massive monadnock rising nearly 1,600 feet above the high-desert plain.

Wonderful image, great composition and processing, and taken from a drone -- pretty cool.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it very much!
I know that many photographers dislike drones and I'm sure for good reasons, but I also know others don't like them for no reason.
For me, the drone is just another tool that I only use when I'm sure I will not annoy anyone. In remote areas, it has been very useful for scooting unfamiliar locations, it is amazing what I've discovered from a couple of hundred feet up. And of course, capturing subjects from a completely different angle such as the photo I posted.

There are no good reasons (assuming you are not disturbing anyone else's enjoyment of the place, all rules are followed, and commonsense exercised). The photographers who dislike drones are simply jealous of those of us who do drone photography.
