... had an opportunity to take some time off to do some serious shooting. Met up with one of the best FMers you could hope to shoot with, Shibu (@shibutg), for a few days of sunshine, birds, masala dosas and cheese enchiladas
One of the great things about meeting up with FMers is the opportunity to observe, ask questions and learn. I've learned so much from shooting with people like @surfnron, @arbitrage, @eyelaser, @AGeoJo, @birdied, @Colin F, and the list goes on. Shibu is a consummate professional in the way he approaches his photography, and I tried to elevate my standard just a bit more based on what I learned from watching him.
After more than a year of downtime, I definitely felt rusty and it took some time getting the feel back. Here's a few to get started:
It was a pleasure shooting together with you, Mitesh! Not only we had a great time but also learned from our experience together.
Those are exquisite images, Mitesh! I love the large size of the pupil of the burrowing owl in #2; you captured that image very early in the morning. Great skimmer action of the last image, too.
Nice Mitesh! The fourth image illustrates the problem that I often battle with - the super shallow DOF we get with big, fast lenses, and I often forget to stop down from wide open.
So nice to see your work again Mitesh !!! Always so nice to meet fellow FMer's and shoot with them. What a gorgeous set you have presented. Each is a beauty.
Gotta say wow! The opener is hanger, that would look good anywhere. Great job on the owl shot getting most of the distraction out of the way, my eyes went right to his eyes.
