Superb set Nicolas! You used some very short lenses. Can you describe your setup.
Morris
Yes, all the shots but the last one were triggered manually & remotely (from a hide). The last had to be triggered with an infrared barrier in order to shoot a set of led lights just before triggering the flashes. Its the only trail I´ve seen in perfect daylight, so I guess I was really lucky to get the exposure correctly and overpower the sun.
Used a variety of lenses all manually focused to where I thought the kingfisher would enter (yes...thousands of out of focus pics).

Incredible set. I'm impressed with the effort it must have taken to get these captures.
Thank you! Yes...many early risers and hundreds of hours at the hide...

Sometimes...only sometimes it pays off!

Amazing, was this a controlled environment?
Well, it was in the wild, in a small pond close to the river were fish got trapped when water level changed.
But yes, I controlled everything (focusing, speedlights and even leds in the trail shot).
