Beautiful images, Tony! Well done. American Kestrels are such a colourful predator bird. Haven't got a picture of one for a while. One of the most interesting photos I have got before was one that was perched on an active osprey nest. Lucky for him, the ospreys were away busy looking for fish or nesting material. I have seen the ospreys attack other predator species anywhere near their nests.
Very impressive sequence of captures. Excellent compositions and very well focused targets. This kinda shows a story of nature at its best, being both lovely and terryfing. Good job!

Thanks Gordon. It was one of those rare times when I was ever able to get close to one. I guess when one of them is hungry enough, they will hunt closer to people and in newer territory.
American kestrel is one of my favorite birds. So, I am biased here. Those are wonderful and impressive images, Tony! That’s an impressively big vole that the male AK caught.
