Isn't it great to have a new camera so one can go out and take the same images one has taken with so many "inferior" cameras over the years?....well when one is a charter member of the G.A.S. club then yes it is, yes it is.....fun none the less

Super images Geoff. You are taking less than 1000 images an hour. Is it now time for a computer upgrade with the huge increase in FPS and file size? How long did it take to sport the 5K images? The first 4 are simply superb.
Killer images! All are awesome images but the first one is over the top! I am assuming the first image was not cropped much. Was the first image cropped much? If it was cropped considerably it will have me considering switching from my Nikon setup. Thanks for sharing I think
Well it only works that way when you know how to use the gear you just bought. It sure as hell looks like you do! This is a super set, congrats.
On a different note. I'll be up front, I'm a bit skeptical on this body. I have not used one so it's only my cynicism coming out. So I'll ask a few hard questions that you are free to ignore if you want.
How long is the battery life in the real world?
I know it's early yet but what's the focus like compared to a9ii?
Have you shot with any Canon lenses? If so does it focus better than a9ii?

These look great Geoff..........keep us educated on the true performance or shortcomings of this amazing new body. Glad to see the 200-600 seems to be working well on it!
Very sweet color and details on this set.
Some nice images that previous cameras may not have been able to capture due to slower fps or less effective AF. As far as the look of some of those images, they look about the same as those taken with a Nikon D500 or Canon 1DMk4, or other similar DSLR's.
Some noticeable smearing of feather detail on some, perhaps from Topaz DeNoise AI?
Beautiful images, Geoff! I am still working on A1 settings before going out looking for animal subjects. I'm surprised to find that I am somewhat missing the old menu settings, which I had gotten used to. Who knew?
wonderful rendition, Geoff. I do see some smoother pixels compared to the A9, but I am not even qualified to comment with so many people in the forum better than me in these matters. AVEVFS
Amazing stuff ! Just wondering if you print any of your images and if you are seeing incremental upgrades in IQ each time you upgrade equipment. I say this because here on the web all your previous work looks exceptional also.

Wake up, even from power-off is really quick. Almost DSLR quick...very similar to R5.
Yes it works although I never tested shooting a stopwatch to see if I got the full 30FPS. But it is certainly firing faster than the 20FPS setting when I turn on the fake shutter sound.
SD card write is fastest I've ever seen. Supposedly really close to the max 300...I think measured at 260-270. Because there are no limitations when it is busy writing, you never even notice how long it takes to write. With a 200+ deep buffer and access to all functions, fast playback, switching to APS-C etc. the CFe-A cards are an overpriced luxury at this point.
