Wish we had M/A override on/off as an option in custom button settings , would love that to be able to set that on the 200-600 like manual focus override on my Nikon 200-500, I missed this feature a lot yesterday

The options are on page 18/31 in the Custom Buttons. Hold or Toggle as mentioned above.

Thanks chaps , I like being able to use manual and AF at same time
I know exactly what do you mean. I miss it too. I think it's issue with linear focus motors. New Nikon lenses like 70-300mm doesn't have this feature either. I believe the DMF switch on Sony super teles does this. Someone with exotic lens can confirm this.

The 600GM and 400GM have the switch on the lens to allow it to do DMF just like one would be used to on a DSLR or even adapting DSLR lenses onto Sony.
Of note, Canon did a FW update to the R5 that allowed DMF with the latest lenses like 100-500 and the 600III which didn't support it before that. I would think that Sony could give us a similar update if they wanted to. We know that the 400/600 can do it and they use the same type of focusing motors as the other lenses that don't support it.
It's been the best combination that I've ever used. Especially with the 1.4TC.
I'm blessed to have been able to use the system.
Please keep me in your prayers as this will be one of my last posts.
I dont know the timing, but I've been told I have a Terminal disease.
I've had to sell all my equipment and move the proceeds to my wife.
Thanks for letting me share my pics and my life with all of you.
My faith is strong, and soon I go to be with my Lord.
Yesterday my KF shots were from shore but the forecast today was sun and I'd be shooting backlit....so I threw the kayak in the water and shot them with the sun behind me.....the plan was a success
