OK don't judge my sad ability to focus on stars but we got up at 12:30 am (37F/2.7c) and headed across the lake to compare the A1 and my ancient A7s; both using the FE20F1.4. Both images processed as close to same as I could, and both together.
Thought some might be curious.
Also note, in my area due to clouds/weather I get to attempt Milky Way 4-6 times a year
I guess you can see why I've kept the a7s all these years It is a special camera. But I'd not hesitate to use the A1 in my limited astro pursuits either.
Those kestrel shots are fabulous, such a great subject.
Here's some cuckoo images, I had to work in low light and eventually found out how to remove the noise from capture one default settings basically take off all sharpening and noise reduction and throw it to Topaz.
Here's a shot of my 12-24... just wrapped by me with Alphagard custom orange wrap. It comes with pieces to cover every exposed part of the lens, but I just chose selected areas.
Real estate photography? Nope, know nothing about it either; but had to pay tribute to my best friend for his efforts in helping me install the new Atrium window in the great room here.
Water temps in the Delaware Bay have risen to 60 and the horseshoe crabs are coming ashore to breed and lay eggs. Birds have been a little slow to show up yet but their numbers will increase in the next few days. The small gray-green eggs the size of grain of sand are what the birds will feed on for the next 2 weeks
