Nice shots of the painted bunting, I've got a place in San Antonio and see these guys regularly when they pass threw. Think I am going to put in a native Texas plant garden in my yard and try to see if I can get them in my yard in the coming years.

Thanks, I'm two hours east of SA. Been on this property for about a year now. I knew they came through and believe they stay near also. I have added a water feature in the yard but until early June our house was being constructed so I'm sure that has interfered with activity. I should get better moving forward. My water feature and garden area. A work in progress. https://billmorris.smugmug.com/Beautyinthetreesandintheair/Bird-pond-Sheridan/
@Bill from Tx. That is impressive, way ahead of me. Nice work. I'm in a neighborhood in SA. But, I am always amazed at the birds coming threw. Birding in Texas I usually head to Llano, and along the border. You can invite me over to photograph when you finish...
My wife went out to refill the hummingbird feeders yesterday when she noticed a doe giving birth to her fawn. It was a Nat Geo moment lol.
We had a storm roll through today and I mentioned I had hoped the doe and fawn were out of the rain and under cover. Two seconds later, she spotted them. I grabbed the camera and snapped some shots. I can't wait to see them around when they are dry.
