Has anyone been shooting landscapes with this camera? Would like the impressions of noise and dynamic range performance compared to the RIV at low ISO (max quality) and higher ISO like 6400 (astro landscape territory).

Been waiting since the start of this thread and it’s depressing no one really showcased this yet except for birds. That honestly don’t help me at all even though some nice bird shots.
This is the first time I had a new camera sitting in shelf unused for over 10days, thanks to the busy schedule!
Finally I took it out today for a test shoot, just few bald eagles, I really want to see how this performs on landscape and night sky, hopefully I can find some time soon.
What I most like about this camera:
-Ability to go back and forth from FF to APSC while shooting
-BEAF
-Cropping power
-Speed
What I don't like
-Price
-This is up for debate, compared to A9, I guess A9 files are better in strong light
This guy landed in the trees out back. A good test for BE-AF. I switched from Tracking: Wide to Tracking: Spot - S (Custom button C2 for me) and it locked onto the eye.

Peoples' thinking is: camera-lens-subject, in that order.
This happens when a camera mostly gets used for very specialised imagery, as in this case. But the lenses are responsible for the images, not as much the camera. Even if the camera enabled better AF or whatever to assist the image-taking, no one needs literally five thousand images to illustrate this capability. If you shoot non-bird subject matter with the A1 and post here, it will be seen only by bird photographers.
We know to stay well clear of the 200-600mm and similar threads because they are almost all birds too. And birds are infiltrating the FE thread, having previously colonised the a7r IV thread.
Information menuing is hard to get right. This forum might need the thread: 'Sony Birds and Wildlife Thread' to be shown capitalised. But subject matter is the last of the three headings mentioned above.
Or 'Sony Birds and Wildlife Thread' can be made into a sticky to sit at the top of the listing. Or how about a dedicated Bird Forum, for all other cameras too?

I’m just going to start getting my glass again
I posted one landscape/cityscape image and one portrait taken with the camera approximately 5-6 days ago. Did you miss them, Guy? The model of the portrait wasn't that great but I couldn't get anybody else on a short notice during Covid. The risk of getting infected by Covid is virtually non-existent by shooting birds/wildlife .
I am guessing most of the folks who rush out to buy the A1 are after its AF, FPS and high resolution for cropping, hence so many bird pictures. Of course the A1 is much more than a camera for bird, it just happened that most of the initial buyers are birders.

Agreed but I suspect the birders are also interested in the BE-AF (I know I would be if I had the $$ )

I know you guys know I love ya but I still have to bust one once in awhile. Birds are certainly safe and you are all being good campers but let’s start to get moving again. I beat the damn thing with a infusion. I got lucky no question. Please stay safe
Oh and I admit you guys are killing it on the birds.
Did a little late night shooting again with the A1 and this time paired the 2x TC with the 600GM. Stupid sharp wide open and so good at nailing the focus. Full frame image followed by a 100% crop. No sharpening or noise reduction, just default import to LR and then export as a jpeg.

I sold my A7R4 and kept A9 when I ordered A1, My plan is to use A1 for Landscape/night also. I still like A9 a lot for birding.
