Terrific images. I would say if you order the 600 GM now it may take two months. You can try District Camera in DC/Virginia, call them and ask to speak to the owner Eldar. They dont collect sales tax from out of state sales, you can pay on your own if you prefer.
We noticed the resident Snowy had a green coloration on her chest this morning. Rodenticide is typically dyed green. This is most likely from vomiting it up. Rodenticide is not banned in the Town of Sidney where the owl is hanging out but is banned in the neighbouring districts. Very upsetting to see this as we had all assumed her diet was neighbourhood rats and were worried about this from the start.

Thanks to everyone that gave me leads on the 600mm f/4 GM through PM and in the thread. I will be following up with the shops. Hopefully I can purchase the lens and do it justice.

Sad to hear that, are there any local rescue places that will trap and treat the owl before it's too late?

Yes they've been informed but all we can do is keep an eye on her. So far she is looking good and going about her regular routine. I saw her cough up a pellet last night before flying off on her nightly hunt so she must be eating.
