I've been inspired by some of the great black and white seascapes posted recently and decided to share a few of my own (seascapes, that is - I make no claims about their greatness!). These are from 2 different early morning trips this past fall and winter out to Bodega Bay. I suspect some may disagree, but one of my favorite things about living in northern CA is the number of foggy days we get between the coastal fog and the tule fog further inland. As always, I'd be happy to get feedback of any type. Thanks for looking!

I like that you chose B&W for this group of photos. I especially like the last two because of the beautiful and mysterious light in both.

I'm partial to the misty and soft quality of that first one.
This is a very strong set of images, really excellent. For me I find #3 feeling a little overprocessed - not sure if that is actually true but that is the impact it has on me. I prefer the other 3. The 1st one is very mysterious, has great atmospherics. I think the 2nd one closely mimics #3 in composition but I like the natural looking treatment better (again just be my opinion of course) compared to the similar composition but different look of 3. And #4 is a very special image - really like the framing and the fog with areas that are clearing. Some might object to the strong light off the top of the frame but I like the way it 'explains' and also balances the wonderful water highlights in the distance.
I visit Bodega Head at least once a year (except this past year) and try and capture the feeling that you captured here. I love this scene in the fog too. These are very nice - the B&W conversions work really well!!

Thanks! Hard to go wrong anywhere on the coast in this area, but that spot is a favorite of mine. I like that you can go out to the end of the peninsula and shoot back toward the coast if the light is better that way.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! The third one is definitely the most harsh to my eye (maybe not coincidentally, it was taken on a less foggy morning than the others). I took that one back in September, so I actually had to go find the original file just to see how I had processed it. I might do it differently now, though this is my least favorite of the set anyway. Here's the original:
