Been a while since I posted here. My favorite nearby sunrise location this time of year is called Mushroom Rock. The other morning it was cold (5 degrees F with windchill) and windy, but the TPE app said very likely color. Therefore, I dragged my butt out of bed and hiked to the rock for sunrise. There were a lot of clouds rolling through and I thought perhaps I might get socked in and not see anything, but as the sunrise got closer the light got better for brief periods so I got more hopeful. It turned out pretty well, I think. Comments/criticisms welcome. Thx for looking! Taken with my Fuji GFX 100 and GF 23/4 lens, single exposure.
I predict this certainly won't be the only comment
Very nice - the sharpness, color and composition are spot on. I have a real hard time getting up for sunrise shooting myself, even though almost every time I do it pays off. Your dedication certainly paid off on this one.

Thanks for your kind words! Your comment about the number of comments appears correct, but just barely. This board is a tough crowd!
The atmospherics and the color are truly amazing. I made the same comment on another post, but the juxtaposition of the cold snow/trees with the coming warmth of the day is simply amazing. Great shot and definitely worth the lack of proper sleep :-)
Funny stuff. I know the feeling about getting out there, especially during a cold morning. Worth it... I thought the cloud / mist circling the sun was wonderfully rendered.
