I find using an external flash is so much better than the built in one. I have an old manual National flash I had working on the Sony.. ever since then, I needed one and the 420EX was enough. I might get a 550 and use the 420 as a slave.

My friend runs a computer sales and repair shop and he can get flashes, Sandisk CF cards, some photo storage devices, printers!!, PDAs, 511A batteries, compact digital cameras up to G6 but unfortunately NOT cameras bodies and lenses.
He quoted me a Canon 9950 printer for $819 when everybody's selling it for $9XX...I also paid $100 for an Ultra II 512MB CF some six months ago.
I was quoted about $660 from foto riesel, and that was a discounted price, too.
I remember asking someone at Whiltons about them stocking/selling lenses and gear. Basically unless you're willing to plonk down about $50k to have their bodies and lenses on display and/or in stock, Canon won't sell you pro gear.
yes, I can understand that Foto Riesel needs to pay for rent, electricity and Mick's salary. This friend of mine has a computer business and I don't think he relies on selling photo equipment to make a living and I think he's not making much profit out of the sale to me
Flash guns have international warranty!!! but A$588 is about HK$3616 in today's exchange rate of 6.15. I'll get my gf's father to buy it from Man Shing.
Maybe the dodgy Wing Shing bxxtard stole it or jipped me on it. Never really looked into it. Doesn't matter... if and when I get the 580, it'd have legs.
