I took some photos in Utah - Canyonlands and Arches NPs last month. Pretty damn remote places indeed. I haven't gotten around to printing them yet but I think some are nice. Gotta say that it was far more difficult to get good shots in these places than say Bryce or Grand Canyon - both in terms of accessibility (long hikes to viewpoints over uneven rocky paths) and also getting good perspectives. Was fun though...

Yes, I have been pleased with the prints I got Photo King. Everyone's gotta get a 20x30 once before they die Don't be afraid of ordering it on Super Gloss paper, it looks great!

They also print on Kodak Endura Metallic paper - I've been meaning to give it a go for a while now.

Mt Wilson is nice, but I heard that one of the nicest gardens, Lindfield Garden was sold last Autumn and has been closed since then. But anything around there is really nice

Yeah, name a date.

No I think the whole point is we do street candid or parade or whatever in the city on the Anzac Day

Do Mt Wilson some other day to be decided? Mt Wilson doesnt go away, Anzac Day only happens once a year.

I will (as we all can) do some research and get back to you as to what's available on the Anzac Day. Time place of parade etc

Sorry Ed, missed your MSN (I was with someone, forgot to turn it off)

No problem. I figured it would be something like that.

The Canon 9950 seems like a good buy for A3

One of my clients has one of these. Results from A4 prints are quite good. No streaking and no dots visible in high quality mode on high quality paper.

I'd buy one if I had the space.

The following are 100% crop from my 16-35 and 17-85, can you guys tell which one is which in terms of sharpness?? (look beyond the slight WB and light level differences)

Do u think both lens is suffering from focusing problems??

Both are shot maually at f/6.3 1/250 iso400, single focus point on those writings.

They aren't the same sized crop but I guess the top is the 16-35L.

Btw, I walked down to the city today and around lunch time there was a fashion show. Some sort of Vogue thing... amazingly no pros there to cover it except those with small cameras.

The bottom one is much sharper. The top one has a slight soft look about. Thats my 5 cents worth (since paul keating removed 1 and 2 cent coins).

I can't tell the difference. My eyes aren't tuned to sharpness. They both look like they could do with a bit of USM, but that's about it as far as I can tell.
