Went to the australia v iraq game and when mark farina made the comment that it was a ugly win he was not wrong!!!! You can excuse the iraq player of thinking that he was playing the wrong code of football!!!

Ed, I like that shot. Picture does draw you into it.

Phat, the last photo though it's in a very very very hard situation is probably not worthy.

I know, but it was my one of my few chances to get action shot, since most of the action happened on the farside or close to the fence. If the sun was higher up it would have been better.

Phat, I like the football photo. Perfect timing.

I was walking past QVB yesterday when this photo was being taken. I couldn't figure out why the Fairfax photographer was taking a photo of the shop window till I saw the paper this morning. I think it was my silhouette too ! haha

Ed, I know what the pic makes me want to do.... it makes me want to quirt along those bents in my Subaru!!!

Chris, that photo is.. ummm.. hard to see. I had to look at it many times trying to work out what it is. I still can't see the shape of the building.

It looked beter in the paper. The online version is too small and compressed.

Yeah, nice one, Ed, I like the leading line also. I've heard a lot about the TMAX 3200 but never used it. So, got your scanner now?!

Yes, Phatphoto, the football one is also my favourite. The last one has a lot of burn out area, but sometimes you just got to cope with a given situation if you want to take the pic, I think you've done well in keeping the subject correctly exposed

Ed, the b&w shot with the leading lines is very nice. Do you still use film?

I only use film in my tiny minolta APS p&s as the equivalent digital models have yet to match it's quality, especially in flash performance.

Thanks Zane. Yep I've been testing out the scanner. I can say that the results that I get out of it don't seem to match the quality from Nikon's dedicated film scanners. It's also *really* slow.

Chris, I still use film, but not often. I like trying out different high speed B&W emulsions. So far my favourite is TMax 3200. I kinda like Delta 3200, but Tmax has more "character". I've also got a roll of Scala sitting in my fridge, but I'm holding off on using that.

I also have a lot of rolls of E100 and E100vs sitting in the fridge.

Ed the exposure for the football was 640 f2.8 and iso 1600.

I still got a lot of slides in the fridge too: 6 or 7 rolls of E100VS, 2 or 3 Provia, 1 or 2 Velvia, 10-15 expired Sensias....what should I do with them

I was going to do some E6 cross processing, but they cost $21 for 36 prints from Vision Graphics

I think that's a lot of hassle, isn't it? Chemicals are bad too

Smelly I don't really need any notice as far as repairing you head goes but if we culd organise a gathering before or during winter Wild Winter Weekend would be the obvious choice . then I think we could work something out .

Now you want a handle for the Head rotation cinch . If so I'll copy mine and you will be on your way.

As for the other head you said you had issues with just pop it in a box and I'll drill out the offending thread plug the hole with an insert and dril and retap it to suit the original handle which has a new thread. Clean polist and repaint in hammertone black/grey or clour to suit your taste.

Bought a macro tube set really cheap from ebay. The tube set has no electrical contacts, no aperture control or AF. I shoot this in the backyard I had to get close to the bee, I was shit scared that I might get stung. Got buzzed a few times but all was good.
