Even though the screen is larger, the resolution is not as good as the 20D's LCD. I don't know how much you'd notice, though.

Yep, the 2160 seems to be the budget model. No photo display.

If it's similar to 20D's LCD, I will be happy

I can't find exact WxH figures for the 20D's LCD, but it's 118,000 pixels. Given the image size of 3504 x 2336 (and resurrecting my rusty maths), the resolution of the 20D is roughly 420x280.

The VP6210's resolution is 352x240.

I don't know how much the lower resolution would matter. It would be great if we could see it in person.

Sure you can.. bring a notebook computer then! I won't have a problem when I go to the UK at the end of the year.. I have a light notebook (1.5kg) to cart around and view pics etc etc.

Thanks for the maths Ed!! I think I will be happy with the vosonic if it's only slightly lower in res than 20D's LCD

I hope I have a light notebook too. But traveling with a notebook is a pain when you have to worry about safety etc or take it or leave it in hotel....

I'll have no choice... Eliza will have a notebook with her in the UK so at least I don't have to cart it over there.

Ed, how many photos did u take that day at the Mardi Gras? Surely you took more than that or are you hiding something from us all. Must be good photos!

I'll try and dig up some bokeh shots for you, Zane.

Smelly, most of my shots were of those butcher girls gyrating

Thanks for the comment james. I'll stick to doing everything on PS to keep things consistent. Camera raw on PS converts the files without the exif data attached, it's annoying, although you can still see them under file info from within PS. Maybe i should get C1pro too.

....I first thought it's the name of the coffee...but the name looks like my wife's name. Yes, I also think this is my shot with your Mark 2

BTW, Nicole thought Ed has the 1D Mk 1, I said no why and she said didn't you guys talked about the Mark 1 with metal mount? Nooooo...it was his 50 1.8 Mark 1!! Having said that, she knows more about photography than an average person which I am proud of...I will make her shoot with a 10D this trip

Lucky you. My gf likes taking photos and looking at photos, but hopeless with any electronic gadgets, let alone a manual camera. I guess at least she can criticise my photos! :P

The 300D should have the same resolution as the 20D, which are both so much better than the D70.... there are no nikonites here?!

yeah, Richard's right, if people can put up with resolution of D70's LCD, I can probably put up with xdrive's LCD

I think at least you can see it, then it'd be fine regardless of the resolution. Maybe you can output it to a TV in the hotel to see it.

Not the best shot, but it does show some OOF highlights from the 24-70.

The 24-70 is the lens I use most often, even when I was using the 10D. It blows away the 28-135 in terms of sharpness. I sometimes wish it had IS, though.
