But the time it takes for it to download off the CF is frustratingly slow. I find 4Gb/day would be a good day's shooting even on RAW. But it depends on how many days you are going away for and how committed to the camera you are.
Thanks for the comments. The first shot does have a slightly greener tone on my lcd, i'll check it out on another screen later on. Do u guys set your camera colour/parameters to default or adobeRGB? does it not matter if you're shooting in raw?
Thanks for your comments on the B&W scans guys. I'm not sold on the brown-tone thing myself either. Grayscale just looked a little cold, esp on the Taxi Club shot.
Maybe I'll find a better action on that link Ed posted, gotta be better than my home-brew actions

I'm still not getting this colour space thing right, or maybe i'm just missing something. The following are 2 images resized with PS and microsoft picture viewer respectively, i'm seeing 2 very different colour profile on my lcd here at home. Are you guys seeing these 2 pictures exactly the same or differently?

Curious! They both look different to me. The ps cs version looks cooler to my monitor. They are both Adobe 1998, and Gamut Warning shows slightly different regions (less on the ps version) Curiouser and Curiouser said Alice

Getting one of these maybe cheaper than getting 4x 1Gb cards. Maybe i should think about it too and not worry about the CF cards.
The best thing is that it doesn't matter what format cards you have. It'd work on the major cards. But to have 4Gb worth of cards shooting in RAW won't really require you to flush until the end of the night where you might be in a hotel room with a powerpoint handy.

btw, I'd have thought 'Nicole' would be hard to misspell, but...
I think this shot was taken by Zane.
....I first thought it's the name of the coffee...but the name looks like my wife's name. Yes, I also think this is my shot with your Mark 2
BTW, Nicole thought Ed has the 1D Mk 1, I said no why and she said didn't you guys talked about the Mark 1 with metal mount? Nooooo...it was his 50 1.8 Mark 1!! Having said that, she knows more about photography than an average person which I am proud of...I will make her shoot with a 10D this trip
