Ed, why not a small suit case on wheels?

I haven't tried a suitcase on wheels yet - I was seriously considering the lowepro rolling backpacks, until I saw the price.

The reason why I don't go and get a pellican case is that I still want the bag to be relatively portable, so that I can walk around with it.

I'd report this guy to ebay. If they ignore you then the only thing I think you can do is open a new account.

I am not a laywer and I have no idea what kind of legal action, if any, you can take - particularly seeing as how you did actually receive the item.

I think the minitrekker is good. It easily holds 2 bodies each with 28-135 & 16-35 lenses attached, one of 70-200/100-400, 2 primes, 1.4xTC, heaps of memory cards, batteries, films, bottle of water, instruction book, magazine to read. I can even store the 28-135 or 16-35 vertically and the 2 primes on top of each other

suitcase with wheels is not that useful in real life situation.

I am thinking of getting one of the Lowepro Stealth Reporter AW range, probably 650, for easy access like what Richard said

If you walk around with a shoulder bag it can be extremely painful after a while. The minitrekker can actually carry more stuff, and it's also more comfortable to wear for extended periods. The problem being that you can't easily swap lenses or other gear.

I have a crumpler that I'd like to use, but unfortunately...

re: using targus strap on manfrotto tripod:

What do you clip the other side to? My legs have a ring at the top, but it doesn't have anything that could be used near the feet. Hence the manfrotto strap.

I looped it around the bottom end of one of the legs and used velcro to tie the legs together. Works well and is very comfy.

I can take a picture of it to give you a better idea of the setup.

If you are using a uv filter, take it off. You'll still get internal reflections (flare) from the lens elements, so there's nothing else you can do apart from removing one element (the filter).

Thanks for the advice Ed!

rwwlee try digital blending but you need to take two photographs one slightly light and dark (dont move the camera). Then through PS you blend both photos. For a more detailed explanation try luminous landscape's web page.

Thanks for the advice, i was trying to give a sihouette type effect, but i'm still having trouble with the colour space setting, the shadows actually looked much better (more detail) on my laptop at home than on another computer.

I'd say get some Cokin filters and do it that way. It comes in handy a lot of the time... I'd wish I had a few Cokins about.

My Zenit camera (apparently worth nothing)

Charcoal...

Yes, it was THAT exciting having a BBQ in a HK style (i.e. using a BBQ fork and cooking it by hand without a grill bit)

Hey Guys,

New to this thread. Managed to read a bit of it. What's this PICA site that Zane was selling his gear on?

Good idea with the calendar of events for us Aussies!

I think it's a good place to sell and buy. I sold and bought my camera bodies there.

Hi Alex

Welcome!!

I sold on PICA:

my 300D in 3 days
my 70-200 f4L in 3 days
my friend's 17-40L in about a week (2 "bidders")
my 'extra' 70-200 IS in about 2 weeks
never sold my Minolta gears there after several ads (but sold on ebay)
not my close up filters (sold on ebay)
bought my 35 2 from a 10D advertiser there at a bargain price (Smelly bought his 10D).

pretty good site that photographers read...met a few good people there through selling and buying ...still keeping in touch

Smelly, I think we should all have a classic camera for keeping and displaying at home...
