CS 2 running on P4 3 Ghz with 1 Gig DDR Ram. 1 x 200Gig IDE 7200 rpm Drive, 1x 120Gig SATA 7200 rpm for storage and my OS is on a 35Gig 10,000rpm SATA drive . Runs pretty fast although I have not used any other set up to compare with. Samsung 21in wide screen monitor

yeah nice work! esp the 2nd, but the first one def. has the feel of those gray summer days we've been having :-)

Looks like there is some nice hardware out there running PS CS! Anyone using water cooling?

No not water cooling but I use a Zalman copper CPU cooler it has a 120mm fan and weighs just under 1kg. You just about need to put your head against the case to here it going.
It works on the big fan slow revs lots of air theory rather than intels small high revving noisy one

I like the idea of water cooling or a quieter solution. It sounds a bit like a wind tunnel here with both computers running. Ahh maybe next time I'll go the big lazy fan route, if I can find them here.

When I think water cooled, I think busting hoses and gushing coolant.

You mean a big A/C unit? every building seems to have those great big A/C to cool things down.

the cooling in the mac is factory so it look's super sweet.... little radiator inside with all metal piping.....

I think my camera time is fast...

It's been lit up like that for over a week or so. I had to do the mad rush down before they turned it off but wanted to work the wet roads in with it.
