One more....

Tafe Project.... Reflection has to be the centre of interest.

Not sure if it works.... would like some feedback.

Chris.

Both are good, I prefer the second one, but that was wasn't as obvious a reflection as the first.

Got my 30D plus flashes.

Just need to get the last flash conected up.
Went out and took a couple of quick shots.
Love the big LCD and ISO in the viewfinder....

Amazing bike shots. I like how the colour of the bikes and the ambient light came through. Can you describe the flash setup? Thanks

Are those fish for real? wow

Yep, not only are they all huge, there are millions of them. The schoolkids get these little nets and boxes, but they all go for the big fish!

Those fish are nuts Ed!

Thanks for the comments on the reflection shots guys.
These past few weeks have been insane... super busy.
I have a intresting shoot coming up in the next few weeks... I will post some pics.

Chris_S: For that shoot I used 2 580EX's, just metered the ambient light and stopped down one stop and filled with the 580's.... super simple.

This was a shot for a Tafe B&W project.... 'The Worker'

http://www.chrisbennyimaging.com/photography/worker.jpg

Shot with a single 580EX.

Chris.

Not at all . Post more .

I like the first one . It does remind me of one i've seen before in i think it was the DP preview comp .I'll post a link if i can find it .
The second one has too much out of focus, a bit distracting from the main subject .

I like the last one too .

I love the punch your photos have , so crisp and sharp great comps to .

Thanks Tony.

I agree with the 2nd one, you loose the subject.
The third I dont mind too much, but feel that the 1st says 'shoes' alot more.

How long has everyone been shooting here?
I guess I have been shooting for about 3 years.... (19 now)

Chris.

Been shooting for a bout just under two years with the digital . Had film SLRs in the past but never utilised them to any degree. Scrub that ... didn't use them much at all .I didn't have the patience to spend a day shooting and then waiting to have them processed , find they were all shit then have to start again .

Hmm I sure you are discribing me Started off with a screw mount Practica LTL and then progressed to a Olympus 0M2N which was probably the most under utilised camera in the world. Sometimes wish I still kept it though as now I sure I could use it a lot better than when I had it

Snap on the description.. I have a Canon T 70 and some lenses sitting in the cupboard unused in donkeys years. Been shooting for about a year and a half now with the 20D and the list of "got to have" lenses is about finalised, but I discovered I'd like a Macro of some sort. I was challenged by a friend to come up 24 shots of Texture before the 15th, I went berserk, mostly indoors as the humidity is over 90 % here at the moment. It was taking the Camera about half an hour to aclimatise to being outside.

Is an example of what I shot. All the shots were taken with my 28 mm f2.8. Just as something to add to the learning curve.

Do you still have a 50mm lens for the T70 they make a pretty handy macro lens when put on the 20D in reverse with an adaptor

Thanks for the info, the learning curve is steep enough at the moment though. The proper Macro stuff will be put on the back burner until I can a lense for it, But I will give that reverse 50 idea a quick bash. Now where did I put that damn thing
