Cool! I was down in Berry and Kangeroo Valley last weekend, and it reminded me of the scenary I saw on the drive. Bloody beautiful part of the world.
Unfort. I wasn't able to spend any time with the camera so I've promised myself I'm going back for a trek around that area with plenty of time to spare. Does anyone know if any time of year is better than any other around there?

...maybe even make a group outting of it?
I try to get to that area at least once or twice a year - its gorgeous!

Hey Michael, I was at Digital City in Wynyard yesterday and they listed the 30D for $2099 and sounded like they are willing to do a deal if you take the camera today kind of thing. (They won't let me fire the shutter of the demo though - they probably can tell that I am not very genuine about buying )
DD is selling it for $2059 + shipping with I believe non-Canon Aust warranty... not worth it IMO
yeah i saw digital city yesterday on the net... order off the net pick up at city store..... $2069 so i think i'm going to get it from them then get the grip and battery from DD.... but maybe they can do me a deal i'll give them a bell and find out..... should be mine by next week can't wait.... i've got press pass for australian superbike round in 2 weeks so a new camera will help.......

Perhaps you should also go and see Mick Connolly of Foto Riesel Camera House on Kent Street (tel: 9299 6745) and ask him to do you a good price... just quote "Ed Wong" and "Fredmiranda forum"....
