I don't see that much difference between a 20D and 10D. Just a slight slight increase in detail coz of the few extra MP. Anyway, people selling 20D are still pricing them too high.

there's a guy selling it for $1450 on PICA right now

I've used both 20D and 10D. I didnt notice much diff between the 6 and 8MP but found that:
* 10D has a very sweet shutter sound; 20D is noisy;
*20D starts up almost immediately, 10D needs a few sec. I used to set auto shut down to 8 min with 10D and 2 min with 20D;
* 5fps makes a diff;
* I used to shoot jpeg and the buffer makes a diff
*pic review is faster; Auto WB more accurate; low noise
* i am a fan of the joystick

But for some reason, I did like the 10D better than the 20D... maybe because it feels more like my first love - the EOS 30

Heads up for anyone buying AA batteries, went into Officeworks yesterday in North Sydney and they were selling the twin packs of Duracell Ultras for $0.59, the guy said they are discontinuing them. Not sure if he meant the batteries or the twin packs so I bought all the packs I could find (15 of them). I'm sure they will be doing the same deal in other stores.

Cheers,
Corin

IMHO I think 30D is a worthy upgrade for 10D owners looking for better image quality/handling, fast response body and for 350D owners looking for a bigger and better constructed body. It suits you well Smelly

and Ed too if you are looking for a backup body to meet your pro requirements and to solve your 10D's backfocus problem

As you all know, I don't work for Canon But body-upgrading helps our economy to grow (and more funds for Canon's R&D department heheh)

I have no money to spare... sold all my possessions except my camera gear.

30D doesn't interest me. If you're going to buy something, buy something damn good (unless it's dirt cheap)

i still remember paying $19XX for my 300D not very long ago

Yeah i think i need a 2nd body and i'm thinking of getting the 30D.. it will be a *significant improvement over the 300D... i don't mind the 1.6 crop.. in fact.. i'm happy they are keeping the megapixel the same....

I needed some 6x4” photos printed and as H.N. was busy for the next few weeks I used Digital City (the one opposite Myers).

The photos came back at least 2-3 stops too dark and with a yellow colour cast. As they were reprints of photos I already had, I showed them my originals which had perfect colour and exposure and they agreed to reprint for free.

The 2nd time around the colour cast was less obvious but all the highlights were badly clipped.

I've given up going back, can anyone recommend any decent photo printers in the city?

Vision Graphics are usually pretty good, but they're far from cheap and also not in the city

I'd suggest Whiltons on Elizabeth St. They're not cheap either, but the quality is usually quite good.

Pretty good, Chris. Well done!

I like the tussle shot the most, but I think there's a bit too much empty space on the right hand side. I think there's a similar problem with the teams lining up.

Anyway, very good work especially with the equipment that you have!
