Oh.. that was manual focus and manual aperture... but yes, I missed on some of the shots. On the F2, it has a nice thing on it that detects if the object in the centre is in focus or not and you make adjustments accordingly.

You mean Eliz and Park St??

Why don't we meet there at the Starbucks at 5.15pm Sat 5 March?

Shoot the street entertainments between 5.30 - 7.30, then parade or dinner!!

So, you got the F2?! Great! You father gave you a good camera!!

Colour and bokeh was quite nice on that pic. It's hard to get the focus right especially at large apertures

I got an F2 that doesn't work properly. The photometric electronics in it doesn't work and I can't take it apart.... might see if someone can fix it... but it's got some funky functions like mirror lock up etc.. amazing for a 70's camera. Got a remote shutter cable too with it but only got 2 lenses for it.

My mate has an F2, along with the motor drive, a hammer flash and lots of other junk that he never uses anymore, including the 55 f/1.2.

Nikon does make heaps of good stuff. I was once undecided between Nikon and Canon. I like the fact that all the Nikkor lenses (except G mount) can be used on old cameras like the F2, FM2

I was a few times tempted to go and buy an FM3A and the pancake 45 f2.8P lens....very sexy piece of kit....let's not talk about it anymore

I think 35mm... have to dig it out but no adaptor for that. Still haven't worked out how to take off the adaptor ring off the 50mm Nikkor.

I don't have a motor drive etc.. It's apparently (from web sites) a F2-S... something do to with the photomics variations of the F2 series. Apprarently in the 70's, one guy asked my dad if they could buy the camera for £600... (this was the 70's remember). Obviously he refused the offer.

Know anyone that can have a look at the photomic in it?

Hey guys,

check out this Singaporean forum: www.clubsnap.com

They've got this outing: 50mm + 36 Exposure

I think it's a good idea to follow!

well, I don't know what that is. But there's a guy called "five star" camera repair in the Gowrings Building (cnr Market and George Sts). Their name is a bit dodgy but they seem to be good at doing repairs for Nikon cameras. I was told a technician in their used to work for Nikon in japan...a Japanese guy

Thank goodness I'm at home to read it all.. :P

Maybe we could also have an informal workshop with the gathering. I guess everyone would have more skills than my crappy hands so I'll admit that I'll leach off your brains.

Funnily enough, I thought I'd broken the light meter in my mate's F2 when I played around with it once. He took the camera apart, got out his voltmeter and checked the battery and played around with it for a good 10 minutes before he realised that I'd just turned the camera off.
