where did you find that car, Chris?
Nice attempt!
Star trail is a good idea. I was attempting to do some trails on Sat night but it was so cloudy. ..
Zane
The car is in Kemps Creek took a little while to convince the land owner to let go out there. I wanted to go out on Friday night when the moon was not quite as bright but both Friday and Saturday night it clouded over when the sun went down. I have tried one star trial not really clear enough skys around here you need to be out Bathurst way in the winter (less noise). Maybe we could plan a FM weekend out that way some time

I would have liked a slightly longer exposure but the night went no where what with noise reduction on and 2-3 minute exposures. And the neighbours arriving home and turning the lights on and cars going past plus one guy pulled up and shone a bloody great spot light on me. 3 hours for 20 exposures. Made a big mistake wearing shorts and got monstered my mossies At least next time I will know what I am upagainst. By the way the most of the light on the left and side is ambient light from the city not the moon.
Smelly I might go back and do what you suggested and "clean up the stars"
Zane I like them some thing a bit different. The coloured 2 look like they have been taken during the day not 11-30 at night or is the time wrong on your camera. How long have you had the 5D
Down load this little program http://ak.no-ip.com/EXIF/index_en.htm
and when you right click then click on EXIF you get this, does not work all the time
btw, lens is Zenitar 16 2.8 fisheye, Focal length 16mm, F Number: 8
Exposure program was AV
Yeah I thought as much the Russian lense dont give much info most other brands do. Do not know why the Exposure program did not come up maybe something to do with the lens
i think the info of Zenitar doesnt appear because the Zenitar has no electrical contact with the EOS body. And the EOS body reads aperture value ot be "00" and reckons that there's no lens attached to the body
This might be old news but konica is pulling out from the Camera and Photo business. They will no longer make cameras which they have sold to Sony. Who will develope the new SLR cameras using maxxum/dynax camera mounts. This will all happen on the 31 march 2006.
They are also winding back colour paper and film production which will cease next year. That will only leave kodak and fuji in the market which should make it very interesting.
What do you guys think about the little independent labs closing due to stores such as harvey norman and et al offering really cheap prints? Just printed 6 x 8 for only $1, why would you want to print them at home or the local lab who charges twice as much. Only problem with printing at Harvey is that you have to get the colour correct or it will cost you more!
Yesterday I printed out 190 6x4 photos at Harvey Norman for 15c each. They came out really nice. Half were from my P&S sony and they needed cropping individually on the kiosk so that they are in the correct aspect ratio. It was done at the Martin place store
