I recently got a photo published on the cover of my school Biannual publication (i finish school this year). It only runs to about 3000 coppies, but its a start none the less.
How did people go today? My camera is in the shop - shutter shutted itself royal. Missed some really good action stuff (my favourite) at the wheelchar races AND i was bloody lucky enough be on one of the ferries for the ferry race. Bloody amazing.
You are into the Thirlmere steamfest so please be aware of the Hunter Valley Steamfest Friday 21st April through Sunday 23rd April around Maitland in the Hunter valley. Good for steam stuff and long coal trains wandering through the countryside! Thanks for all the other tips. it's a pretty good climb i went in the arvo first climb after the dusk climbs... was still light going up with sun setting then on the way down it was dark was awesome time to go.......

Oh, 17-85IS isn't a bad lens.. I had one I think last yr and sold it when I sold my 300D and didn't expect to buy a 350D... not perfect but I'll ask about.
