I was down at Mick's shop today... saw a 17-35L there... asking $1k... felt a bit loose in the zoom but exterior-wise, quite alright for the amount of use (or perceived use) it had on it. I don't think I would replace the 17-40L that soon at that price.
Oh, bought 2 CPL... man those Hoya have serious QA issues. Out of the 5 CPL, only 2 were barely acceptable but the ring that holds the lens there still had a kink in it.
