Those suction mounts would work better there. I haven't tried pointing it outside but the thought has crossed my mind. I was thinking more like going down George St at walking pace and taking the shot from outside but I'd have to unmount it straight away or else I'll collect a pedestrian. (the edges are still fairly sharp even though I've filed the edges out).
yeah, the yellow thing is the cargo rope that trucks use to tie down their stuff on the back of the truck.
The other end is free. It's only attached to the passenger's headrest supports and tied back to the cargo tie downs in the boot. The thing with making a long bar all the way to the driver's side is that seat backs aren't secure anyway and attaching it to the driver's means that I have to keep still whilst driving too.
Has anyone looked at the how to videos from this site, I have found them most informative and easy to follow.
In actual fact I have learnt more on colour correction and saturation ect from this one video more than any other. Go to the workbench page two and download the submission for NOV 10th (mountains and clouds). Sorry broadband only as they are 12-30mb. The DEC 22 & 29 are very helpful in fact I have started to build them up and will burn them to disc.
I thought there were only 3-4 videos each month hence none b4 NOV but apparently it only started in Nov so when I came across it it had only started.
The first 3-4 are very much the same technique but the later ones assume you have seen the earlier ones. http://www.radiantvista.com/
Great link Chris . A couple of interesting instructional pdf files there too .
Also a good (sometimes a bit cheesy ) advice and bio article .Particulary liked this bit . QUOTE: Practice, Practice, Practice!!! - Disconnect from the outcome. Creativity equals conscious productivity. But we often think to be creative we have to make art that exhibits greatness every time. That kind of expectation leads to artist block
because it encourages us to wait for the perfect conditions for greatness instead of
creating greatness through passionate practice. To be more creative - be more
productive.
Smelly what happened to your post? on the members and meeting opening page it says you are the last person to post. Also since your post our thread has not moved down the page as it got older and newer posts moved in front of it. Are you lost in cyber space
Funny soon as I posted this your post seemed to release itself from cyberspace and is now appearing how odd
I went over the bridge last night... in the rain... man, what a waste of time. The view from the other side was just terrible. I took a couple of shots of the heart from directly underneath... hopefully something turned out.
It's really been a waste of a week.. the clouds have been there non stop which doesn't give it a good view as a whole. The south plion has not been lit up... However, I like that first pic. Couldn't get out there tonight though.. just raining consistently.
Michael that gallery is excellent . Razor sharp and and great colour and a ton of action. Looks like you were hiding behind some of those lovely green tyre barriors . The shots of the quad are my favs . Wicked ! These with the 70-200 ? and 10D ?
How do you set up that flash type gallery thang ? I'm a bit of a computer dope .I went to the website and downloaded something that has a few folders that you put you pics and thumbs in but i'm buggered if i can figure out what your suppossed to do after that
Is it resonably simple or ?
Thanks! here's a shot that I've been playing around with. I think I went a bit overboard (ha-ha) during post production, but I'm too lazy to go back to the original.
