Well, it looks like it's confirmed.. the heart is no longer lit up. AHHHH!!! I drove down tonight and had a look (coz I was bored) but as I arrived after driving about, the southerly came in and created this big dust storm. No photos to really report.
Hydro .Have you checked ou the Monster skate ramp at Homebush ? Not sure what the camera situation is with the place buts its a pretty awesome setup down there .
Richard .great shots . I like the last one best . If i was being picky i'd love to have seen a wider shot of the same thing . Your keener than me at that hour on New Years day .
Smelly . That car thing has real potential .Once you have it mastered i'd be taking the rear view mirror off and shooting a few .
Happy new year to all in the "Hi Sydney " thread .

No I have not been down there yet, Bryce my son has been down to check it out and was pretty impressed.
Richard I like the first one and I am like Webcase 5am is a bit early for me or a bit late . Were you on your way home or did you get up early.
Is it taken from Blues Point off the end of Blues Point Rd??
Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback! I had to sleep early in order to get up that early on NY day. Smelly was meant to be there too except his alarm clock's snooze function wasn't working!?!
Don't remind me.. I'm still cheesed off that there's no more chance to take a photo with the heart there.. it would make a really really good backdrop to a couple shot.

Heart to beat again

THE HEART of Sydney, which formed the centrepiece of the New Year's Eve celebrations, might be reignited.
Sydney City Council will approach the RTA this week to ensure the popular red Harbour Bridge heart is turned on again as a nightly New Year's reminder.
Originally there were no plans to reignite the fixture, with the multicoloured electronic lighting effect at the centre of the heart due to be shipped back to its Melbourne owner immediately.
But the council was looking at reigniting the heart's red rings to continue to spread the message of tolerance, compassion and generosity.
"It was a decision of the creative team that [the heart] would be a one-night thing."
But after seeing the display, Lord Mayor Clover Moore felt it would be worthwhile to continue to spread the message of Sydney opening its heart.
No set times for the relighting of the heart's rings have been decided or for how long it will remain on the bridge.
"We're investigating and will need to talk to the RTA ... it's their Bridge and we need to ensure they're happy with us doing it," the council spokesman said.
Welcome back Zane! Would it take another 12 months to see your photos!?
