This was actually made up of three bracketed exposures and merged using the Merge to HDR feature of PS CS2, then converted to 16bit TIFF for curves and levels etc, then converted to sRGB and saved for the web.
I don't have the shooting data at hand at the moment but it would have been the 17-40 f/4L + 20D, ISO 100, somewhere around f/11-f/16. No ND filters. HTH
Guys, does anyone know if the heart on the coathanger is going to be on display throughout January like the light show always has been in the past 2 years?
Went down to the local skate park with 2x 550ex flashes one mounted on the camera the other on a tripod off to the side. Remote flash are the next thing.. I need to experiment a bit more with it.
Btw, anyone want to come out say around 3-4am tomorrow morning and do a sunrise ... I am thinking Point Piper or somewhere you can take pics of people walking about and still take photos of the coat hanger and sunrise etc etc.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance of that happening. Whatever it is that's being unveiled tonight should hang around until the end of January
