I'm going out to Eastern Creek . The Shannons car show . I'll be out there at around 10.30 or so . My mobile No. is 0409712403 . Just text me when you get out there and we can meet up somewhere .
Mitch is going . Anyone else ?
I don't know exactely what happens at this show , the info on the website is pretty vague but from the sounds of it they have been doing it for a few years prior so i'm guessing its reasonable well organised .

. Friday is the pic of days for me....no where near as crowded & they aren't as strict as where you can shoot from. Saturday is OK as well - Sunday - well, that is sitting at home watching it on TV with a big cold beer time for me
Will probably be doing the Friday / Saturday thing again this year myself....
Thats my way of thinking also . I'm more than happy to snap away for practice and quals and sit at home to watch the race . I'm planning on either ...A) Bathurst...... B) Motogp Philip Island or... C) Aus Superbike Philip Island which is in Nov ( i think )
Would love to do A ) and or B) but ... .. date wise its bad for me .But C) is almost a definite .

WHAT THE $5.5k How much is a 1D2?? $5k?
Yeah but canon's Aust price for the 17-40L is $1599 RRP thats only $650 dearer than a good ebay store. What will be the street price
$5.5 for the 5 D is friggin insane . I think if anyone was that badly after full frame i'd buy a 35mm EOS body and use your current digi for setup then use the film bod for the shots . Just a thought . $5.5 yikes .

I agree. What about a 20D with the 10-22mm? Does the 1.6FOV at 10mm give you *exactly* the same picture as a FF at 16mm? Would there be more distortion with the former??
Shot from today at the Shannons car thing at Eastern Creek . Ton of cars there . Met FM er Mitch_F1 out there briefly . He was there for a while so should have a bag full of shots .
