(Dedicated film scanner, I've scanned no more than a hundred frames of low res files for web posting. I've done no more than 3 high res scanning with it)
Selling because everyone here perusaded me to get an Epson 4990 flatbed
I have two interested buyers for this item - so be quick
No.. not selling my 420EX.. it's actually not a bad flash for light purposes. 550EX would only be for secondary lighting. I don't do enough to justify it though a 550EX would be nice to do portraits / product shots.
Zane - the 50 1.8 - am curious to know why you are selling it? have heard good things about that lens... am actually thinking about getting one... hmmm....
Greg - great to hear there are others around this area! - have you ever been to the camera club that meets in the Castle Hill RSL? ... finding link... http://www.hillsphotosoc.tk/
Might go along and see what they do...
As for the calibrating question...
- do your answers mean that most of you are using CRTs ? if so.... do you calibrate? and what monitor do you have? (does anyone have a good LCD panel that they use for photo editing and really appreciate?)
I want to replace my laptop screen cos i can't adjust any of the channels, contrast etc... but would prefer to save some desk space... am wondering about getting one of the monaco color calibrating systems...

No I haven't tried going to this photographic club. If you do go, let me know what it was like. It's unlikely I can turn up because I go road cycling every Tuesday night.
Hi guys, i've been busy lately.. glad to see this thread is still pretty active!! pencil me in for the zoo day too!! zane how come u're selling the 10-22? i thought you love that lens?!
Finally got the epson R210, very happy with the result from the first few prints... i'll do my colour profile adjustment after a few more test prints... Greg.. you're right.. it does seem to consume ink pretty quickly!!

Yes, it's a great lens
But I now have the 50 1.4 so I dont need the 50 1.8 anymore. I actually have two for sale, one on behalf of my friend, both are of near new condition, email me if you are interested!!
