When I hiked in the German Harz mountains a few days ago, this stunning contrast between the bluish sky and the frozen branches of the (mostly dead) trees struck me.

We don't have wintery weather very often here in Northern Germany, so it's exciting to finally have opportunities to practice winter landscape shooting, it's much fun. Fingers crossed - this weekend another trip to Harz mountains is on the agenda.
