Nice job on these, except for the cropping/composing decisions.
#1 and #2 - no need to show us all that empty space up top. There's nothing interesting there. Crop in half, present the lower half.
#3. You cropped off the paws! Sometimes this happens when the photographer uses centre focus points. If a different focus point were used, (or focus/recompose) the photo would be more balanced.
#4. Nicely done. If you want to make it a bit better, compose with the dog slightly on our left (because he is facing right) rather than centered.
Final comment - That's one cute puppy.

Meet Hazel, a 10 week old mini Aussie.
Taken on a Canon R5 with RF 24-70 f/2.8L IS, using two flashpoint AD400Pro strobes with glow parabolic softboxes (48" key right and 28" fill left).
Ah she is a real sweetheart Jesse! Just a beautiful adorable "child". The last one is great and the head cock is adorable also.
Give her a big hug for me! A part of my soul left when my 3 children passed! They are eyes into the human soul!!!

Regarding #3 this is a result of working very quickly with a very young puppy in a make shift studio, sadly getting the composition and the pose right isn’t always possible as I messed it up this time, but I agree it is a bloody shame I missed her paws 😢

Aww yeah she is getting plenty of hugs from her parents. We lost one of ours early this year and it is truly heartbreaking, but so nice to see little ones discovering the world.

Thanks! And thanks everyone that voted for me 😋 The other threads were great as well. This subforum doesn’t appear to get very much traffic this time of yeah, based on winning 4 votes to 3 votes for the other threads 😅
