This heron appears to have a lot more white on the breast and bib feathers. Not sure if that would be semi-leucistic, or just that I have not seen one in bright sunlight with blue sky behind for a while.
Not a bad result for the 'cheapo' $650 Canon RF 100-400mm with a 2X TC, handheld and cropped.
Recently transitioned to the R6 after being a Nikon shooter for the better part of the last 10 years. The AF system made this branding shoot for another photographer so much easier.
All photos with the R6, the nifty 50mm F1.8 STM, and some godox lighting equipment.
Manual focus and holding the camera straight is really easy with liveview and the level as well as IBIS. Like this camera a lot. TS-E 24 II full shift.

Nice set of photos. Comparing the photos you posted to the ones in the linked album, would you agree the skin color looks more natural in the getting ready photos?
Looks like you hit the jackpot for natural lighting outdoors.
Here's something from indoors last weekend, at a renewal of vows ceremony. First time using a "Wing-Like" umbrella indoors, and it seemed to work pretty good with a single Xplor 600. The ceremony seating and reception seating were all in one community center room about 50 feet x 50 feet. So I just kept rotating the umbrella as needed and left the stand in the same place the entire event.

Thank you! I'd say differences in lighting more than anything, that and directional window lighting is always going to be flattering (though I had to play with the WB/colour a bit due to colour tinting on the glass.
The outdoor lighting actually ended up being a little tricky in that it was overcast with the sun constantly poking in and out though thankfully by the time the ceremony was going on the sun was just starting to be behind the couple. Portrait session on the other hand though got very dark and even started to spit rain (I was shooting at ~ISO12800 by the time I was shooting just the couple).
