Thanks for that! Do you find it more accurate with just the adapter and no teleconverter?
Yes, in the sense that without the extender it will focus a bit quicker, and instances of hunting are reduced. Also, instances of front or back focus with mirrored bodies is gone. Without the extender it will acquire pretty quick (not as fast as the 100-400II). If focus is way off to start, it won’t give up like it may do with the extender.
I’ve ordered a EF to RF mount adapter which will probably take months but I’m now thinking I’ll likely get the Tamron 100-400mm. I’m thinking the RF 100-400 will likely be quite pricey and might not be worth the extra $ over the Tamron which I’ve seen some very promising images and reviews of.

Luis, your images are always so top end. Colors and post perfect. I notice you post a lot from the Sony A7's, How are you liking the R6?
Why thank you so much! I have been shooting Sony for a long time now and I do not have an R6 yet BUT that is my plan to get one so that I can show videos in my Youtube channel for both, Sony and Canon users.
I honestly was surprised by the R6. I am not sure if it had newer firmware than the R5 that I tested before or what but I just felt more at home with the R6 than the R5.
So my plan is to buy the R6 or more than likely sell the Sony A9 (I dont really do sports photography enough and I can always rent it for the events I do during the year that benefit from it) and use that money for the R6. Of course, my main problem is..the one lens I would like is the 85mm 1.2 which is NOT cheap and then I must decide...85mm 1.2 or my beloved and cherry picked Sigma 105mm 1.4 on my A7R IV. lol
During these tough Covid times, supporting two different systems may be a bit hard..but we shall see.

Thanks for the detailed response. What's your YouTube channel, I'd like to check it out?
I'm decided on the R6 - i wish it was 30MP, but everything else seems to be ticking....except the price. I can't bring myself to spend $2500 body only right now (priorities!). But, having two of the *SAME* media and being almost $1500 less than the R5 has sealed the deal...unless they drop the R5 when the drop the R6 prices
These photos look great, I can't believe there aren't more R6 posters. Maybe the 20MP really throws people towards the R5?

I’ve been using my daily, I’m just very slow at posting as I like to post them on my website first as a blog post before I put them on Flickr. Once they’re on Flickr then they’re on here.
20mp is not really limiting, it’s just the smaller number than makes people think it’s not enough when you see it next to something like 30mp or 60mp. Brent Hall on YouTube even used it for birds and dome crops with the images still looking amazing.
I’ve got friends who don’t print or crop but still say 20mp isn’t enough despite them only posting it on IG which is like 3mp and compressed to hell...
We’d need to see sales figures to say for certain but the 5D series has always been more popular than the 6 series so it’s not really surprising to me.

Yeah trust me I'm fighting that psychological battle myself -- "But 45 IS BETTER THAN 20" even though I'm shooting with my 20MP RX10 IV right now and 20MP is fine (then again, I walk around with a 24-600mm equiv. lens).
Amazingly, I'm going to commend Canon for keeping the R6 and R5 really friggin close, except the 8K video that I have 0 interest in and a few other things. The differences seem much more negligible than the 6D vs 5D series, where 6D series was fairly inferior with AF specs, frame rates, etc.
