Very nice series. I was last there in 2000 and judging from your shots, life there hasn't changed much...
I was there last in 2016 and many were looking forward to the American embargo coming down. Lots has changed for Cuban's these last few years. I'm planning on going back soon for a couple weeks on a beach and a few weeks in the streets.

Harry, these are powerful images from Cuba! The shoe repair guy is my top pick; I love that image although they are all impressive.

Thanks Joshua.
Lots of stuff gets done on the streets. I go out early ( 5:00 am ) to do shooting and what I found very interesting is in front of some houses were thermoses of coffee with some baked goods and a dish for money. Cuban's on their way to work would get a cup of coffee, some baked goods and throw in some money into the dish. I usually had my coffee this way.
No Starbucks on every corner...but sometimes simplifying life is so rewarding.
Excellent set! Interesting story about the coffee. Loved them all, but my fav of the set is the street scene with the vertical lines. Might even be better if straightened.
Very nice Harry, I sure hope the embargo ends and it opens back up for travel. I have made a couple of trips there and it’s one of my favorite places to just wander around and shoot. Great work!

We stay in casa particulars in the Habana Vieja area and I get up early in the mornings and just wander the streets and alleys trying to capture the Cuban people as they go about their business. The old buildings combined with the colourful people make for great subject matter.
Really nice work. I was there 3 years ago, right before Trump shut it all down again, and these bring back memories of the trip. I'm ready to go back as soon as we're able to travel there freely again.
Obviously you got away from the tourist areas, which is what I tried to do also. I hired a local guide to take me into the neighborhoods and away from the crowds. What a great experience. I only wish I spoke the language and need to learn more before I return.
