p.1 #1 · Shocking

On my drive around the city I noticed the place was lighting up with lightning. I couldn't pass up the opportunity I took to the roof of my apartment complex and on my first try was able to get a successful shot but that wasn't enough for me I needed more. So I stuck around for about half an hour till I got a couple images I was satisfied with. Till next time!

Quick edit notice the exif wasn't showing.

This was shot with an a7riii + sony 12-24 gm at 21mm I believe for anyone wondering.

Iso 100 f2.8 8 seconds

How did you trigger, manually or with some lighting trigger?

Very cool, love getting lightening photos when the opportunities present themselves. How long were the exposures?

We had a great event here in SF bay area few months back but I was too chicken to go out. I have seen what can happens with lightening if you outside after living in Florida for a while.

Wow, what beautiful shots! I really like the great detail in the lightning, multiple thin jagged lines. I prefer complexity of those lightning shots to others I've seen with big fat lines. And the urban foreground is a terrific complement to the lightning. YGMV.

I remember that night. I didn't go out either, it was too unpredictable and crazy out there. Also lots of wind. And then the wildfires started…

I really appreciate the comment my friend. And I too like the multiple lines rather than the one bolt strike. But lightning is unpredictable you don't know when where or how long it'll last, but when you get that shot it feels amazing plus you get an amazing light show as well!
