Have not posted here in a while. It has been a long hard battle for past 18 months, battling cancer and going deaf. Like other forms of art, photography has been life-giving and an effective therapy for me. My wife even got me a Tilt and Shift lenses to keep me sane around the house . Thank you all for posting amazing images which kept me engaged and inspired me to keep on fighting so that I could go out and photograph again.
Finally I am able to get out and photograph! Here are few images from Zion National Park of Watchman tower taken during sunset earlier this month.
Thanks for viewing and I welcome any comments and or critiques. Let me know what orientation works for this image.
I too prefer the first one because of the wonderful light on the tree in the foreground as well as on the rock formations. It sounds like you have a wonderful wife and I wish you the best on your recovery. Please keep up the great work.

I completely missed your preamble. Glad to hear that you were able to go out and create. May this continue and carry you forward!
Appreciate it Rajan. It was definitely nice to be able to get out. I was getting tired of taking photos of books and or objects on the floor practicing with my TS lens.

Thank you for your kind words. Events like this are life altering and one needs good support mechanism to get past it. Thanks to technology of Cochlear implant. I am now able to hear thru one ear, not perfect but can communicate.
Had no idea you were battling so many health issues. I am glad you have been able to use art as an inspiration through the trials. I think the forum members all share that passion. I wish you the best in the future.

Overcoming these life altering events needs support and inspiration. I am no where near the type of work you produce but every image on this form pushed me to work hard towards my rehabilitation. Thank you for your kind words.

This location is so familiar and yet, every picture is different. Your shots are wonderfully warm in tones and colours, rather beautiful.
p.s. may your recovery be quick and full.
Thanks a lot and glad you liked it. This is a very popular location and I was happy to get a spot. There were almost 12 or 15 photographers that day😩. Thanks to technology and medical breakthrough, I am doing great and now able to hear thru Cochlear implant. Not perfect but it works. Thanks
