Totaly agree photography should be about sharing our experiences in seeing the world through our eyes and not a competition. Alway better off shooting what makes you happy, and not try to impress others. Only when you focus on the reason you took a photo of a subject in the first place you realize the essence of photography. Its an opportunity to see the world in a way that many miss (some never see it) and slow down time. Such a big world with so much beauty get out there and take pictures!! Beautiful shot for sure 👍

I don't vote on FM because I see no point in making it a competition, when many simply want to share their images. Also, the competition factor simply deters many that are timid about posting their own images. They can view it as negative critique.

I am not a big fan of contests for a whole host of reasons and I always take my images that I hope evoke emotion....if that registers with the "audience" even better.
