"The slide, owned by the Mount Tabor Lutheran and United Church of Christ in Rocky Ridge. Maryland, was built in the spring of 1950 by volunteers from the church and local community.
The actual sliding board is made of hardwood flooring and the rest of the structure was built with lumber in the park. The attraction has its own website and boasts that the slide is the largest of its kind in Maryland."

Just beautiful! A slick looking ride, sort of a toboggan slide for people.
Thanks Steve!!! It is really slick but you must have a gunny sack or piece of carpet to slide down on our your butt will be burned!!
The local church and town keep this well kept! All the original wood but has been re-painted a few times. Great place for fun and a picnic!!
Thanks!
Dan
