Hey, I'm new to the forum. I figured I'll introduce myself with some photos that I took of some of my housemates last year on Halloween. At the time I was living in an artist collective in Los Angeles. Most of my housemates were actors, but I also lived with musicians, illustrators, writers, and film directors, all ranging from being aspiring talents and established in their respective fields. It was a really wonderful experience because there was limitless inspiration and always a willing muse, and living with them added a sense of family, especially when a number of us were new to the city and didn't know many people. Moving to a new city can be a really lonely experience at first, but these amazing people made sure that never happened to me.
Shot using the original Canon 5D with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens attached, and lit using a single Neewer C300 strobe with a soft box attached. The backdrop is made of canvas that I sealed and painted myself. Do you recognize any of the costumes?

Welcome on FM, Blaise! I thought your name was Daniel...
Those are well-planned and executed portraits. I love the variety of models, costumes, poses and themes.
Joshua
Thanks. Lol my name is Daniel. Blaise is the name of the model in the first photo. I put the names of each person above each of the photos that I posted.
Those are cool! Really like the first 2. I usually don't like anything that close to the backgrounds but in this application i really like it, especially the second. The heavy shadow gives it a gritty look. Great job all around!
