Out here in the desert in Oregon, I am really jealous of those low angles. Our place to get shore birds migrating through are sewer ponds & damn I am not going to ground.

A delight to view Geoff. 1,5, 8, 13, 17, 18 are my favorites from a superb set of photography Geoff.
After reading your description and then viewing the first with the godwit walking in front of you and the line of photographers I pictured a shooting galley at a carnival. I hope your wife enjoys the soughed bear.

Absolutely gorgeous images, Geoff! The low angle, the warmth of the light, the reflection and of course the details of the target and at the same time, the buttery smooth bokeh speaks volume.
The same goes for birds that attract a lot of photographers locally here from me. At times there could be some 40 photographers. Fortunately, the field we were shooting from is sizable and we can keep a safe distance from each other. The difference from looking at your images, our targets here are mostly are quite a bit higher than eye-level.

Beautiful shots. Makes me want to pick up 600mm f4 and go birding again but not much time left after work, cooking and other shootings.
Thanks Bobby

Incredible series of images Geoff, they're all winners. The low angle on these shots really sets them apart the typically shot.
Thanks Louie
