p.1 #1 · Cheapest way to trigger Nikon flashes on Sony camera
Ok, I have a handful of Nikon SB-600 flashed and have only used Nikon's built in CLS systems to trigger the flashes (D700).
I still have the Nikon D700 but what would I need to trigger these Nikon SB-600's on my Sony A7rIII. I don't need TTL, would be shooting in manual flash mode. The SB-600's do not have optical slave mode.
What is the best/cheapest way to trigger these remotely. Would I just need any wireless flash/trigger combo?
For example, you could use one of your SB-600 units mounted on-camera (or any cheap flash--just enough to trigger the slave units) paired with another (or several) SB-600s connected to the slave receivers. The Godox Sony transmitter with Nikon receivers might be more elegant.

You can really forget about getting TTL from Nikon flash units using a Sony camera. At best, it will trigger the Nikon flash only in full manual mode.
Yes, only interested in manual flash. No TTL.

This is interesting but the SB-600's can't be used as master either.
I think I'll go with what I linked in my original post. Thanks

This is what I went with. We will see how it goes. Thanks to everyone including dclark from PM for their suggestions.
So to recap, this is my setup:
Sony A7rIII
Godox TT350s (Sony)
Godox TT685n (Nikon)
(2) SB-600 (Nikon)
I know. A random mix.
So using the Godox Xpro-S trigger on my camera - can it trigger the TT350s and TT685n (Nikon model) without using any receiver? Manual and/or TTL?
Or will I still need the X1R-N even on the TT685n (Nikon)?
I know I'll need the X1R-N receiver for the SB600's.
I guess the overriding question is will Godox branded triggers work with Godox branded flashes regardless of version (Nikon/Sony/Canon, etc.) without use of receivers?

I use the FlashPoint versions of the Godox triggers, receivers, and flashes, and they are not an exact match with the units you have selected. I have a mix of Sony and Canon compatible FlashPoint flashes. I find that the FlashPoint flashes work with FlashPoint triggers without any receivers. The receiver is built in to the flash.
