Maybe a little late to the Neowow game, but..uh... here we go...
Should you choose to venture to the ADKs for any reason, please remember to social distance, wear a mask when you come into close contact with one another, and leave no trace on site! We picked up any trash we could find on our way down from this hike. Keep it clean.
Summer flew. It felt like yesterday my girlfriend and I were watching Comet Neowise set over one of the most iconic sights in the Adirondacks. I am thankful for the privilege to experience this, but also proud of accomplishing the very challenging journey to get there.
I used my Nikon Z6 with the Nikkor 50 1.8 S Z mount lens as well as my iOptron Skyguider Pro star tracker. I took 6 tracked shots of the Comet at 2 minutes, ISO 1600, and f/4. For the foreground untracked shot, I took 1 shot at 10 seconds, ISO 100, f/4 during blue hour. Processing was done in Pixinsight, LR, and PS.
WOW, one of the best shots of Comet Neowise here....
Those layers of different colors make it truly magical
Thank you for such great image, excellent work!!!
Thank you - believe it or not you can thank the light pollution for that gradient...
