Maybe you should just stick with the Sony!
But seriously KD, any new toy comes with it a new learning curve. I had used a friend's R5 + 100-500L on the weekend and I was not at all comfortable with it because the controls are different and this camera and lens are both obese ... to me - compared to my "petite" or some would call "Nancy-boy" E-M1.2 and 300 PRO lens.
I've heard great things about the R5, but jury is still out on the 100-500. We'll see. In the meantime stick to the Nancy boy gear. it has provided good service all these years.
Sadly in some ways, Olympus is in my past ... yet again - original Olympus OM-series being the first. The R5 is too good to ignore, and the 100-500L is more than a worthy replacement of my 300 PRO. Weighing a tad lighter and a costing a tad less than my Olympus, I now have the flexibility of a 100-500 zoom lens with 6 stops of image stabilization. And from the images I have seen so far, it renders the OOF blur extremely well.
