p.1 #1 · Canon R5 vs Sony A7R IV with my favorite portrait lenses
Hello,
So I figured I would like to get reactions from the Canon users as well thus I am posting this here.
It was frustrating to only have the one day with the R5 to do the shoot so mistakes were done while rushing and tests were not able to be performed etc. Still, I think the data I got can be useful so here is Part 1 (the outdoor shoot).
I am trying to get the camera one more time at least for 2 or 3 days so I can add more tests like going to the Zoo, action-oriented tests vs both A7R IV and A9, compare stabilization, rolling shutter etc.
Anyways, here it is:

PS. I am a Sony shooter but I am NOT married to any specific brand since I have to buy my owner gear thus I owe loyalty to no camera maker. I buy and keep what works best for my work, no matter the brand label.

I am curious about the added contrast & color...using Sony's house converter, styles are brought over and transferred to the raw. Is the same thing happening with DPP? Using a 3rd party converter, this doesn't happen.

Yes on the last part of the test, using Sony's own convert it looked a lot more like the Sony JPG and closer to Canon in terms of "punch" so I wouldn't put too much thought into that myself since I expect as more programs Support the Canon, we will get more options in terms of flatter conventions for people that prefer that to work on.
Thanks!
