I like #2 as is and it is monochromatic in the true sense of the word. Blue and white and I really like the splashes of blue. The human figure gives a great since of scale. And the reflection is just icing on the cake. Voted.
For me, the second one of okay, but the first one is PERFECTION! From your title, I realize that these are supposed to be seen together, illustrating the theme of perspective. However, I feel that the busyness of the second one detracts from the silence, serenity, and solitude of the first.
