Over the decades, they have largely become dependent on human-provided hummingbird feeders, but they will also seek out out other forms of sustenance such as Hardy Fuchsia, Semi-deciduous Honeysuckle shrub and bugs for protein. It would be neat to be able to go back in time a few hundred years and see if any Anna's were here in this area at all at that time.
