I just read about them based on your loss. My condolences. The photo sure shows off their amazing face. They live 6 months to up to 3 years. What did you feed him during his life?
Thanks every one. Strange to get attached to a spider eh, but we treat all our critters like family.
We fed Jack wingless fruit flies hand cultured here at home...occasionally store bought.
Conversely we feed Rosie (pet tarantula) mostly crickets (she's almost 9 years old now).
Jumping spiders have some magical way of looking at us that is so very different from any animal I've ever experienced. We will try again someday to raise another one.
